Student Movement for Christ International (SMCI)

The Student Movement for Christ International (SMCI) ministry is possibly the largest campus ministry in the Philippines, with regular outreach works in several dozen campuses on nearly twenty cities in six islands; Negros Oriental, Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, Siquijor and Mindanao. GLCC supports a team of over twenty full time campus staff workers, and more than fifty part timers or volunteers. An annual evangelistic campaign to these campuses is held during the months of July and August, bringing Gospeliters from Singapore, foreigners and Filipinos together for room to room evangelism in these high schools and colleges.

Five Growpoint churches under the GrowPoint Christian Ministry (GCM) have been planted from these campus ministries: in the cities of Dumaguete, Bayawan, Tanjay, Bohol and Davao, where the focus is to reach families, relatives and neighbours of the college students. Many families have been saved. GLCC supports the full time pastors and workers of the Growpoint churches.

House Church Ministry

On the island of Panay, outreach works in several poor villages have reached thousands of villagers and children, and regular evangelistic work and bible studies are held. GLCC supports several full time pastors and workers, as well as a large team of more than thirty volunteers. Some of the house church outreach projects include medical missions, dental missions, children feeding programs, vacation bible school (VBS), etc.

Evangelistic Camps

On weekends, groups of teenagers from the poor villagers are invited for two or three-day evangelistic camps (e-camps) where, in addition to fun and games, the gospel is shared.  Counsellors befriend these teens for the duration of the camps. The teens are channeled to the house churches for further discipleship and follow up after the e-camps.

Training

A training center which is being constructed in 2010 will take in its first batch of trainees in April 2011. In addition to bible training, these men and women will be trained in cross-cultural skills and livelihood skills to eventually serve as missionaries to reach very poor communities as well as hostile communities in the Asia-Pacific region for the furtherance of the gospel.
