There Is A Price To Pay For SinningAll of us realize the problem of sin; we realize the dangers of sin. But sometimes we forget that sin really causes damages and wrecks a person’s life. Recently a lady came to my house to promote and sell a vacuum cleaner. She demonstrated the power of the vacuum cleaner. She sucked from the floor, from the bed, from the pillow, and she showed on a black cloth, the amount of dust, the amount of dirt, and the amount of dust mites and excreta of the dust mites on the cloth. Well, that was impressive. But how much does it cost? She quoted a four-figure sum. My eyes almost dropped out. So expensive, for a sucking machine! But then she immediately said, “You don’t have to worry too much, you don’t have to fork out too much cash. It will be very well taken care of if you go by the installment plan.” This reminds me of how we live in a world surrounded by ease and convenience. It is easy for us to buy something now with a zero dollar down payment. Everything can be paid by installments. But in the midst of all this ease and convenience there is something that we tend to forget. We forget that the bill will come someday and you will have to pay someday. David probably felt that day that he could have a fling with Bath-sheba. He could have a wonderful time of indulgence and never really have to pay for his sins. But 2 Samuel 11 tells us that he would have to pay, big time. In fact, the bill came to be so huge that he could never have expected the ravages that the sin would bring upon his life. It became a defining moment in the life of David. From the sermon: Lust At First Sight 3 comments to There Is A Price To Pay For Sinning |

Thanks for the wonderful statement Sister Lisa. It is so true.
I am reminded of the very true and well-known old saying…
“Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to say, and cost you more than you want to pay…”
I can relate to your encounger. My wife allowed two electrolux sales man into our house 18 years ago and they just refused to get out of the house. Lesson to learn: Never ever let vacuum salesman into your house unless you are prepared to have your wallet sucked clean!
Smokers and heavy drinkers of alcohol will have to pay the price later when they suffer from Lung Cancer and liver hardening (Cirrhosis)
Spending money and paying for luxury items with credit cards …. will have its financial consequences Many people do not realize that they are paying interests as high as 20-24% per year on their purchases.
