Change is PermanentWe’re now ushered to a new year. Thank God. One of the realities in life is, that time has to be alloted to pause and wait. This gives beauty to life. Music will not be beautiful without the art of pause and rest. Machines’ efficiency and effectiveness will be affected without their decelerations and stops. God’s creation manifests that there is an appropriate time of waiting and going. There is a season when the sun shines the brighter and days are longer. The children can go outside and enjoy playing. However, there are times also that storms and rains occurrences are frequent. People are content to stay foot in their homes. Year after year, the seasons and climates should remind us that change is a permanent phenomenon. Frustrations will come into our lives when we think that change should happen according to our desires and wishes. Our ideals of life rarely will happen. The least expected experiences we have should remind us of our nothingness and helplessness to determine the courses of our lives. Due to this reality, we are prompted to cling to our God. Then, stillness of our soul will appear as we embrace heartily the truth that God absolutely is in control over the changes in and around our lives. |
