Camp reflectionsWe would like to thank each one of you who prayed with us for success on our just concluded First GLCC Filipino camp in Batam, Indonesia. There were few salient things I found in our camp, namely; 1. It strengthened relationships. Families have time for their kids; husbands with their wives and church members with one another. Relationships usually does not just happen. It needs time and space(venue) to be cultivated. The time of playing, praying and even strolling together in an isolated resort, matters much in fortifying relationships. 2. It surfaced out ministry needs. We did not pack our camp with heavy activities. In such programming, we had more time to listen to one another, so that we are encouraged to talk and interact more . Thereby, common felt needs are observed. 3. It slackened them from daily stress. The camp was a get away for the brethren from their daily grind. It was a time for them to rest physically and emotionally. A time and place for them to be at home with a church family and have a big laugh and fun. 4. It spiritually enhanced their lives. The camp provided an ambience for them to be more focused to the Word and worship. When they were away from the hassle and bustle of life. Hence, I strongly urged each one to pray, prepare and plan to attend our coming camp on June 2010 at Nilai, Malaysia. Will you? |
