Bounce backI talked with a Pastor friend who visited us. He was so excited to share an experience of victory in one of the church members. ” This brother testified that he had been in the bottom that he was so sure that going up is the next thing to happen“, my friend related. This brother he mentioned was engaged in business and had experienced terrible set backs. But his tenacity kept him until the storm weathered away. This guy was the embodiment of this saying. When the going is tough, the tough keeps going. We know what kind of material objects are made of by the effect when dropped to the ground. This same fall will break the vase but will bounce the ball back into the air. The harder the ball hit, the higher it bounces. A Christian may experience crippling crisis. He doesn’t like it but God allows it. God deemed it necessary. The experience will reveal who he really is. He who appears strong will be confirmed in the way he picks up the pieces, wipes off the dust and moves on. A basketball that is shattered to pieces when dropped showed it was not a real basketball at the start. Hence, let us not mistake a resemblance of spiritual strength from reality. Only the Christian of strong faith will be able bounce back. Pr 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. |
