Avatar Top Grossing FilmSCI-FI spectacular Avatar has surpassed Titanic to become the highest-grossing movie worldwide, distributor 20th Century Fox said. The worldwide total for the James Cameron movie stands at US$1.859 billion (S$2.61 billion) after Monday’s sales, beating the US$1.843 billion haul racked up by Titanic in 1997-1998 Avatar broke the seemingly insurmountable record set by Titanic in little over six weeks, handing Cameron the remarkable feat of directing the world’s two biggest movies of all time.
Sounds like James Cameron is not a man that rests on his laurels. After the mega success of Titanic, he presses on and attempts an even more ambitious feat- producing a film that took 5 years in the making and costing US$300 million dollars in all. Winners are not easily satisfied. They press on for more. Winners in the Christian race are those who will be like Apopstle Paul, who’ll say “ Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Don’t grow complacent in your pursuit of Christ. May this always be your mission- To Know Christ, and to Make Him Known. Related posts Depression from Avatar Part 2 |
