I talked with a Pastor friend who visited us. He was so excited to share an experience of victory in one of the church members. There was a show of disbelief in her face as she related her experience to her Mom. ” Do you have something to share before we will go to prayer?”, I asked my small group of men. This was last Sunday afternoon, after our lunch, when we have our usual prayer time. My son, Shawn, was sick recently. He came grouchy, sniffly and phlegmy. He would be crying more often, and was waking up frequently at night. Worse still, he lost his appetite and frequently refused his food and milk. A visitor to the zoo saw a zookeeper, an attendant, sitting by the enclosure for the elephants. He sat there and he started to weep, and to cry. The visitor was puzzled so he asked another zookeeper: My son, Shawn, loves to be out in the park near my home. He would walk around freely there, while I would sit at the bench and watch him. This morning, Shawn was happily walking in the park, until he got stuck at a corner. The step ahead of him was too high for him to get across. |
