The Reason Why
The Reason WhySuppose that a young man sent his fiancée a diamond ring costing him $10 000, placing it in a little case which the jeweller threw in for nothing. How disappointed he would be, if upon meeting her a few days later, she would say, "Sweetheart, that was a lovely little box you sent me. To take special care of it, I promise to keep it wrapped up in a safe place so that no harm shall come to it."

We have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? - The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
We love him, because he first loved us.
Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

(I) John the Baptist (11:1-15)
In Matt 11:3, John the Baptist sent his disciples to Jesus to ask, "Art Thou He that should come, or do we look for another?" This question was asked for the benefit of his disciples and not because John doubted Jesus. He knew that he was just a forerunner for the Lord and at that point in time, his ministry had ended as he had done what he was sent to do. His main concern was, therefore, that his disciples should know who Jesus was and to follow Him.
Our Lord gave the highest commendation to John the Baptist when He said, "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women, there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist" (v11). John was a bold and unwavering witness for the Lord. He was the one who publicly acknowledged Jesus and pointed people to Him when he declared "Behold, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29).

2 Samuel Chapter 18
Command To Capture Absalom Alive
And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom (2 Sam 18:5).
Did David give this command because Absalom was his own son?
Perhaps, but more likely it was because David realized that Absalom’s rebellion was the chastisement of his own crimes.

I Praise the Lord and Thank Him so much for all the wonderful things that He had done including the creation of this website. I've known this site before through Ate Lani and have seen it more than a year ago, it had changed tremendously. Adding the video sermons really made so much difference. Thanks to Elda who strongly influenced me to have a facebook account, she told me that most of the GLCC members have facebook account. Last night, we've seen someone who posted in facebook Pastor Jason's video preaching so Carlos and I watched it until 12:30am. Now, I'm watching the video sermons one by one and it relieved my "Singaporesickness". Hearing and seeing Pastor Jason preach, the message, the virtual props, and glancing our friends when the cameraman show the audience really made us very happy. I recommended this site to our friends here in Ireland. Thank you so much for that special person who is the creator of this site and also xie xie ni Pastor Jason for all the encouragement and enlightenment in your preaching. Regards to everybody. I was really touched by the sermon of Pastor Jason Lim. When I went to Singapore, February of last year,that was the very first time I attended a Christian service..it was Pastor Jason who did the sermon. Now that I am already here in the Philippines, his sermon continues to inspire me. I am right now always listening to his sermons through the web. Pastor Jason never fails to drive home the point. He is truly touched by God to touch other people's heart. I will always pray for GLCC and Pastor Jason. Godbless!
